I wear contact lenses, is this safe for contact lens wearers?
Yes. This product is hypo-allergenic, fragrance-free and Opthalmalogist-tested.
Why doesn't this product have a specific shade?
It is a color-adjusting shade. It will adjust anywhere from a brown to a dark black. This formulation is packed with reflective pigments that are like tiny mirrored prisms that reflect light back from them and will mimic color that is close to it. So . . . if you have dark eyebrows and dark hair, it will pick up on that and adjust to a darker shade or conversely if you are a redhead, it will reflect a warmer shade, etc. When you look at it on the wand-- it looks like a dark grey color but adjusts once you have applied it.
I this same formulation in both ends of the wand?
Yes, the base formulation is the same but formula the "TOP" section of the applicator has many more nylon fibers in it than the "BOTTOM" section since you want thicker, more lush top lashes and usually just need color and definition on your bottom lashes.
Is this mascara waterproof?
No, it is not water-proof, it is water and smudge-resistant. There is a big difference when it comes to removing the mascara. We have all gone through the horror and pain of trying to remove water-proof mascara. It is water-resistant enough to stay on all day without sliding off or smuding.
How to use:Start by placing the TOP LASH applicator (the big, fat one) against the base of your lashes. Wiggle and Twirl . . . these two actions will give you colossal lashes as well as brilliant definition.
Use the BOTTOM LASH applicator (the shorter, skinnier one) on your bottom lashes. Carefully wiggle the bottom lash brush and softly brush it across the lash.
Apply mascara after applying your Genie’s ultra sheer cashmere powder to your complexion. Why? So if any of it flakes off or smudges while you apply it—it won’t grab onto your skin and will be easier to brush off.
