| What is CSI Technology? |
C.S.I. technology produces muscle contractions by stimulating the nerves that control your muscles. It stimulates the nerves where they are closest together, which enables all the muscles in the targeted area to be exercised. C.S.I. technology works your muscles harder for you by producing strong and deep yet comfortable contractions. |
| Is there a difference between the male and female FLEX belts? |
Yes. There is a difference between the two versions. The length and shape of the belts have been specifically designed to suit either the male or female body. The men’s belt fits waist sizes between 27 – 48 inches. The woman’s belt fits waist sizes between 24 – 44 inches. The intensity in the male unit is stronger than the female unit because of the size and shape difference the positioning of the pads also vary on the two models. |
| Does it work? |
Yes. The technology used in the Slendertone Flex units has been clinically proven. In consumer trials, 9 out of 10 users reported an improvement in firmness. In a separate study, users reported an increase in muscle strength of 20-25% over a 4 week period. |
| Is it safe? |
Yes. The Slendertone Flex complies with all legal and regulatory requirements for abdominal training devices. It is the only unit approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for retail sales. | Can anyone use the Slendertone Flex? |
The Slendertone Flex units can be used by any healthy person over the age of 18 providing they are not pregnant or suffering from any on-going or serious medical condition or from a recent operation. You can use the Slendertone 6 weeks after having a baby and at least 3 months after a c-section, but always check with your doctor. |
| How often do I need to use my Flex unit? |
Used daily you should see results in 4 – 8 weeks. Then use it 2 to 3 times a week to maintain the result. |
| Can I share my FLEX unit with my partner? |
Yes. However it means you will lose the benefits of the smart training system and the pads will wear quicker as they will need to be repositioned for your partner unless you are both the same size. |
| How often do I have to replace the pads? |
The length of time the pads last is dependant on a number of factors including your skin type, how the pads are stored, frequency of use etc. Please note it is important that pads are maintained and stored in accordance with the instructions in the pad user manual. |
| What does it feel like? |
If you haven’t used a Slendertone product before, you may find it an unusual sensation, but a pleasant one. You will feel a mild pulsing sensation, followed by some tightening of the abdominal muscles. The muscles should contract smoothly, hold themselves in a tensed position for a few seconds and gently relax again. |
| Where can I purchase replacement pads? |
You can order replacement pads on our website. Also, there is an order form included in each package, simply fill out the form and indicate how many sets of pads you would like to order, return the form with payment information to the address shown on the form. |
| Why won't my unit won’t turn on? |
Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly, see Quick Star guide for details. The on/off button might not have been depressed long enough to turn the unit on – it takes approximately two seconds. Check that none of the buttons are stuck – as a safety feature the unit will not turn on if any of the buttons are stuck. Check the batteries – if in doubt replace with good quality, alkaline batteries. |
| '03' is flashing on the display with the warning triangle?

This is the pad contact indicator. The pads may not be in the correct position over the metal studs, they may not be pressed firmly on to the skin, they may be worn or the covers may still be on the pads. It’s worth noting that pads should only be used on clean, dry skin as certain moisturizers or other products could decrease the life of the pads. |
| My unit continuously bleeps and a warning triangle flashes on display? |
Make sure the unit is pushed completely into the holster. It may be useful to take the unit out of the holster and then re-insert the holster again. |
| I can only feel sensation in my sides? |
Ensure the intensity levels are high enough. |
| I’ve done all the tests and the warning triangle is still flashing on the display? |
To make sure that the control unit isn’t faulty, you can do the following test. Peel the covers off the pads, and join all three pads together. Switch on the control unit and increase intensity as usual. The three pads joined together act as a closed circuit. If the warning triangle continues to appear, the unit has an internal fault and should be returned for repair. |
| E002/E003/E004 appear on the display? |
If E002 appears on the screen, turn the unit off and turn it on again. It should work properly. If E002 appears persistently, you must return the unit for repair. E003 and E004 mean that the unit has developed an internal fault and should be returned for repair. |
| My unit turns off when I try to increase the intensity level? |
The batteries are low. They have enough power to turn the unit on but not to increase intensity. Replace with good quality, alkaline batteries. |
| Can I wear my belly ring when I use the Slendertone Flex? |
Although there is no serious risk, we recommend that you remove your belly ring because of the risk of conducting the current through the ring. It may be uncomfortable to have the current concentrated in one spot. |

always appears in conjunction with the left/ right arrows. If the
left arrow appears, there is a problem with the left pad, the right
arrow indicates a problem with the right pad and if both arrows
appear there is a problem with either the middle pad or all three
pads.
